Ford AXOD transmission

Was used 1986-90 in Taurus, Sable and Continental with V6 engines. There were MANY variations over the years and MANY parts do NOT interchange from year to year or model to model.

This is an hydraulically controlled front wheel drive overdrive transmission.

Bottom cooler line is the cooler return line.

Band adjustments:
1-2 = not adjustable
Overdrive = not adjustable

Gear Ratios:
2.77:1 1st gear
1.54:1 2nd gear
1.00:1 3rd gear
0.69:1 4th gear
2.263:1 reverse
