700R4 Also known as 4L60 Used 1982-92. There were MANY versions of this transmission and it was used in various GM vehicles. This transmission was replaced by the 4L60E and shares SOME parts with it. It is distinguishable from the 4L60E in that it has a TV cable and the electrical plug enters from the driver's side of the case. This was an hydraulically controlled overdrive transmission with an electronically operated torque converter clutch. Top cooler line is the cooler return line.
